[Now that he's not training his Pokemon to exhaustion, Silver's in the market for some new hobbies. A guy's gotta have more to do than waiting for his team to wanna train, after all! So he's walking around town, looking at a list he made: reading, possibly taking art lessons from Jeb, learning to cook (only if absolutely desperate). Yeah, it's pretty small...maybe he should've asked around for some ideas.

Oh, well. Maybe he'll get some from walking around. He's in a fairly good mood today, so if anyone approached they might get actual conversation!]

[Well, Daria made it through the madness of... something, anyway. Lost time. She has a feeling that's just another sign that she's right: Luceti is in the mind.

That fact hasn't helped her get out of Luceti yet, though, so she does the next best thing: a few good books. And that is why Daria can be heading to the library just as Silver is out and about, too.

Oh, that. Eh, it's no big deal, I just forgot that most of the people here don't have Pokemon in their own worlds. [rubs the back of his neck]

Yeah, pretty much. And people don't always use them for battling, some just keep them as pets...or as helpers. Like the nurses at the Pokemon centers...which are basically free clinics for your pets. They have Chanseys and Blisseys helping them out with the healing and stuff.

And anyone can do that? [Because well... if she had to pick a new hobby... something with training animals didn't sound too bad. And if they were going to factor into whatever her brain was doing to her, she might get some ideas.]

Yeah, pretty much! Even if you're allergic to dogs or something there's plenty of Pokemon without fur or feathers.

Well, no. The only Pokemon here are the ones belonging to the trainers. No wild ones to catch, battle or befriend.

Which is why I finally decided it's time for a second hobby. [most awkward segue ever, but he might as well admit why he's here]

There's a book about a very important sporting event. It's by a guy called Ernest Hemingway.

[She means 'Death in the Afternoon', about bullfighting. She isn't sorry for that, either.]

[Silver actually might like the book; it's a fairly positive portrayal of the sport and the history and ritual behind it, much like the rituals and meaning that have grown up around battling. Though he may be disturbed at its inevitable end. Pokémon aren't usually killed. Or battling humans.]

Mountain climbing? Not really my thing. None are coming to mind.

[Might not sound so great in those words, but well, what trainer isn't looking for the best, strongest, and rarest, too?]
