[It's a nice day, isn't it? The kind of day to just sit outside and enjoy it, crazy as that seems. Yet Silver's sitting on the steps of the library, reading a Jack London book, Quilava chilling beside him.

It's still weird, spending days not training or trying to be stronger than everyone. So far taking Sundays off seems to be working, letting his team rest but not letting them get lazy...maybe Saturdays, too?

[Daria going to the library isn't unusual. Running into Silver isn't unheard of. Seeing him read one of the very books she'd suggested is a surprise. She almost, almost, smiles. It's more of a twitch, really.]

Yeah, it's kinda hard to believe at first but they're pretty smart. Kind of like Pokemon.

I guess it's possible animals could evolve more... but it'd take long enough that I'm pretty sure humans would be a lot different by then, too. [But not, probably, different enough.]

Yeah, people and regular animals take longer to evolve. I mean, thousands of years ago people were monkeys or lizards or...whatever that one boring history book said.

Some people argue humans aren't really evolving much anymore. There aren't any more challenges to push us.

I think this place pretty well disproves that so far.

It's a better filter than Occam's. Besides, until I see something to convince me otherwise, I'm pretty sure they don't have our best interests at heart, and I'm pretty sure people with no qualms about these experiments have no qualms about lying to us.

I guess it's a bit dangerous training any type of animal. Especially if they start out wild. Most people I know would say you can't fully train a wild animal. At least, they wouldn't recommend assuming your full-grown tiger is going to act like a kitten.
